Wait -- what? Do you want codecs or ways to download movies?

If you need codecs, we have ... GOOGLE!. Some search terms that might come in handy would be "divx codec" or "mpeg codec" or pretty much anything listed on the Wikipedia page.

I personally use the Firefox add-on DownloadHelper to download FLV files. Other people use websites, download managers, etc.

Hi, Is it possible when uploading to keep the extention to that which is general? Such as .avi and .dvix? The latest films just uploaded are with extentions such .flv and .mkv. Most modern PC or laptops can (play) pick up the extention but cannot play back by download when it is saved. That is a bit frustrating.

Eventhough I enjoy my Laptop, I prefer to download the Movie/serie on a Hard disk Media Player, hook it up on my flat screen tv and enjoy the show like in the cinema with the family and friends. Wonderful is that! You should try it.

I have noticed that there are many many links from the same (title) movies or series streaming from the same provider, all with the SAME extention. I wont mind if it is what I can use, such as the AVI and DIVX. But here is the chance to take advantage and upload in all kind of different extentions so that every one can be happy and enjoy their favorite program. Or not?

But thank you so much LinkHunters for your hard work and devotion to make this even possible.

Wouldn't it be easier to connect your Laptop directly to your flatscreen-tv? All you need for that are two cables.
But if you prefer to use your harddisk-mediaplayer, you can download a converter. There are a lot of free programs, which allow you to convert flv or mkv into avi or mpg. Just search for flv converter or mkv converter on Google.
Also you should be able to play downloaded flv and mkv files, if you have the right software. I don't think I've ever tried that, but I'm pretty sure, the VLC-mediaplayer, which is also free, can do it.

As for codecs, either download VLC player (I don't reccommend, takes a while to open for me), or K-Lite Codec Pack, which comes with Multimeda Classic, which is basically a dvd/media player.

... or just download the codecs themselves and don't worry about the superfluous software.

Ubuntu (my linux operating system) comes with native FLV support, but back when I ran Windows I used a mineature free app called flvplayer and another called GOM Media Player. And of course there's VLC.

I think bhishamseenath is asking how he can download the shows from TVShack.net...

Dude (@bhishamseenath), wrong thread to be asking this question, and since i'm replying anyway:

***Due to legal reasons, you should NOT be downloading shows from this site.****

But, if you really have to... If you have the realmedia plugin in your browser, mouse over the movie, wait for the tab that appears in the upper right corner (Download this video). Or try right-clicking the opened movie and clicking "Download this video to RealPlayer".

Something like this?

--------------------

View my profile or check out my Facebook
Alex: Hey, Timmy, any chance I can crash on your couch tonight?
Timmy: Why? So you can jerk off on my mom?
Alex: Jeff's a fucking liar, Timmy!

That software works for Windows phones and Blackberry, as well as a few other I believe.
