TV Shack Forum Rules, Read this before posting Options

• Be polite. Please respect your fellow members, there is no place for racism, sexism or any prejudice on this board.


• Please respect the administrators' & moderators' wishes, they're trying to make this board a pleasant place for everyone and their decisions are final.


• Do not post referral/affiliate links.


• Do not post links to sites that are in direct competition with TV Shack.


• Please refrain from using excessive or unnecessary foul language.


• Do not post political and/or religious topics outside of The Debate Section, remember they are often circular discussions where you will hardly ever change an opposing viewpoint and flaming will not be tolerated.


• Do not post links to torrents, torrent sites or any other warez. However, feel free to discuss general bittorrent issues after all you could be downloading Linux ISO's for all we know.


• Please do not give direct instructions on how to block the site ads, they are necessary to pay for hosting, no ads = no site.


• Do not post links to porn sites or images.


• Do not link to content on streaming video hosting or linking sites in the forums with the exception of TV Shack & certain content hosted at YouTube:

........Random funny videos, music videos & TV/Movie trailers hosted at YouTube are fine!
........TV Episodes or Movies hosted at YouTube are not to be posted in the forums, the main site is more than good enough for that.



• Advertising and spamming is not allowed. This includes using the forum email and Private message system to spam other members. Also the purpose of this forum is not to drive traffic to your personal pages, please do not make advertising threads or drop links at every opportunity, we will see this as an abuse of your forum membership.


• Personal attacks are prohibited. Commonly known as flaming, personal attacks are posts which are designed to personally berate or insult another member. Text of this nature is not beneficial to the community spirit and will not be tolerated.


• Trolling is prohibited. Trolling is the word used to describe a post that is deliberately designed for the purpose of angering and insulting the members of the forum community. Posts of this nature are disruptive and do not convey a friendly attitude.


• Warnings and bans are not to be discussed on the forum. Such matters shall remain private between the moderator/admin and the user. Questions or comments concerning warnings and bans will be conveyed through private messaging. Likewise, discussions regarding moderator actions are not permitted on the forum.


• Members questioning our decisions regarding bannings and/or warnings of other members shall receive a warning, and the second instance is a bannable offence. Likewise, making threads/posts in support of banned members shall be considered questioning staff decisions.


• The maximum size of your sig, including all images and text, is 500px in width x 250px in height, here's an example. All image editing software allows resizing, even MS Paint. If your sig exceeds this size, it will be removed.

• All posts in the forums must be in English.


• TV Shack has a chatbox, which is accessible to members with 5 or more posts. It is to be used only for general chat, do not use it to post link requests and do not ask for help with the site in the chatbox. All forum rules still apply. A member can be banned from the chatbox for breaking any of these rules at any time.


• By posting here you agree your posts are in the public domain & under the ownership of TV Shack forum, should you manage to get yourself banned we will NOT delete your posts, posted images and/or threads.


Catchall: Please do not try to cleverly circumvent any or our rules, including by breaking them in your signature or personal profile pages. These rules are general guidelines and are very flexible.

We would like the board to be friendly and enjoyable for all members; this is your board so you the members make it what it is, please feel free to enjoy yourselves and have fun

The staff do have the final say in any decision so yes we as all forums are a dictatorship not a democracy although we will try to be a soft dictatorship - we're more Tito than Stalin
